Sharing my knowledge
Photography for beginners
Individual consultations for beginners in photography.
If you really want to take photographs but aren’t confident you’ll succeed, or if you’ve already tried and the results don’t satisfy you, I can share some insights and teach you various techniques to ease the first steps and help you achieve your creative goals.
Technical questions discussion
How to photograph with whatever you have available (including a phone)? How to choose a camera and lens? How does it all work? In short – all the questions that any photo blogger could talk about, but tailored specifically for you.
Composition and color theory
And also other rules and guidelines that are worth learning, knowing how to follow them and how to bend them so that the creative process runs more smoothly and excitingly.
Basics of image processing
Even if you’re not planning to create a style based on a specific colour gamut, your images will still become better as long as you learn how to ‘develop’ them.
Practical exercises
We’ll pick tasks that are specifically suited to you and go over the results.
Image editing in Darktable
I’m a big supporter of FOSS (Free Open Source Software), and I have fairly extensive experience working with the image‑processing program Darktable (a unique Lightroom analogue, but free and considerably cooler – yes, you won’t have to pay for a subscription or anything at all).
This program can be relatively complex for beginners, so I will gladly help you understand the basic principles of operation, so you can save time and devote more effort to the art rather than studying technical documentation.
Free software
I’ll explain how to download and install the application, and I’ll help with the setup.
Reviewing the processing modules
We’ll go through all the modules and discuss how each one works. We’ll select only the ones that are specifically needed for you, and we’ll let go of the fear of breaking anything.
Development of your personal style
We’ll find a workflow that suits you and create one or two “presets” that, when used, will allow you to endlessly develop your art when independently moving forward.
For each type of training
The following characteristics apply.
Payment by agreement
Depending on how much information you want to obtain and how complex it will be, the training price may vary.
Minimal price is 40€ per hour of online discussion.
Online or in person
I can conduct the consultation via Zoom (once I learn how to use it :D). Or we can combine theory with hands‑on practice in person.
You can learn together with your friends
If there are 2‑3 people in the group, it often turns out to be more fun and efficient. But it’s not mandatory—it will be entirely your choice!
Noob friendly
I love talking endlessly about everything related to photography! You can even ask me (in your opinion) the silliest questions.
